This is our 4th Annual Spirit of Christmas Raffle. We hold this raffle every year to help raise funds to purchase Christmas gifts for kids stuck in the hospital for Christmas. We do this in honor of Kaylan who birthday is on December 23rd. This year would have been her 18th birthday. She was a very giving, charismatic, fun loving, out going, and easy to love 11 year old who was diagnosed with DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma). When a child is diagnosed with this type of childhood brain cancer they are given 6-12 months to live. Kaylan survived 6 months after diagnosis, but made us promise to be there for the next family. So we have dedicated our lives to helping DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer families here in Hawaii. But for Christmas we love to bring joy to the kids stuck in the hospital. We have been providing gifts to kids at Kapiolani Women and Children's Hospital and Kaiser Hospital on the Pediatric Floor. This year we are hoping to include Tripler Medical Center Pediatrics Department.
