This concert features setting of the Lamentations of Jeremiah written by Giovanni Paolo Colonna (1637-1695).While Colonna is not so well known today, he was a highly sought after composer in the mid to late 17th Century.  Born in Bologna, he spent much of his adult career as the organist and chapel-master at the San Petronio Basilica in Bologna.
