Three chances to win! The reason for the raffle is my dear friend Bill, who is the husband of my BFF (since kindergarten) Darlene has a rare form of cancer, mucosal melanoma. They have been at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for over two months for immunotherapy treatments. They can't leave Houston and are in temporary housing and that costs a good deal of money. There are three to four doctors in the US who specialize in mucosal melanoma, and the best is at MD Anderson.  To say Bill is a great guy, would be an understatement. He is generous, funny, and always wears goofy t-shirts or a Hawaiian shirt even when it is winter in Chicago! I have never seen anyone appreciate the simple things that life offers, more than Bill. Over the years, he has gotten a lot of mileage from stupid jokes that now, only he laughs at. 😊  I was with them at MD Anderson and the doctor asked about my relationship. I responded, “Darlene has been my best friend since kindergarten, and I got Bill by default.” Bill said, “She is family”. When I needed a place to live in 2016, Darlene didn’t even need to ask Bill, I roomed with them for over six months, and they ARE my family.   All proceeds (100%) go to Bill and Darlene. Even one $5 ticket is appreciated.
