Dates and TimesCamp runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 24th through Friday, June 28th.   Camp check-in will begin at 8:50 a.m.  Campers must be checked in by an adult each morning.  Parents/guardians should plan to pick up their children promptly at 1 p.m. If you are more than 10 minutes late, there will be an initial fee of $10, plus an additional charge of $1 per minute. Late fees can be paid onsite with cash or check or online via Venmo, but they must be paid before the next camp day.  Please notify camp directors immediately if you are going to be late, or if your child will be going home with somebody else.  LocationMatilda camp will take place indoors at Columbine United Church:6375 S Platte Canyon Rd, Littleton, CO 80123 Audition InformationEvery student is guaranteed a role with at least one line and one solo upon registering, and our small class sizes ensure that each performer receives ample stage time. Auditions simply help us to determine where everyone will learn the most and have the best experience. Summer camp is a great opportunity for young actors to break out of their comfort zone and have a chance to take center stage, so every camper will play a featured role. Auditions for Matilda will be run workshop-style on the first day of camp; no prior preparation is required. The cast list will be sent out by the end of the night on June 24th. We do our best to find a role that each child will be excited about, but please remember that in Stagebugz shows, there truly are no small parts.  Additionally, many factors go into casting a show, and not receiving their desired role is not a reflection of a child's level of talent.   Parent PerformanceA final performance of what we have learned throughout the week will be held on Friday, June 28th in the same location as camp. In order to ensure every child gets to play a featured role, students in Matilda will be split into two casts during the first day of camp. The final performance for Cast A will take place at 11:30 AM, and the final performance for Cast B will take place at 12:30 PM. Those with significant extenuating circumstances (work, pre-booked travel, etc) may indicate their cast preference prior to the start of camp. Preparing for CampCampers should come to camp every day with a pencil, their script, sunscreen, plenty of water, and a lunch every day. We also recommend bringing jackets, hats, sunglasses, and hand sanitizer. Please label all belongings with your child's name. Children should wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Dance shoes or close-toed sneakers are required for all students.  Please no revealing clothing or clothing with offensive, derogatory, or otherwise inappropriate language or symbols.   No weapons, props resembling weapons, or other items which could be used as or mistaken for weapons will be allowed under any circumstances. No smoking devices, drugs, or alcohol. Campers may bring cell phones for emergencies, but no other electronic devices will be allowed, and campers should not have cell phones out without permission. Attendance and COVIDBecause every student is vital to our productions, it is very important that they are present at each day of camp. However, we understand that things come up, and we will work with students to catch them up if they have to miss camp for any reason. If a child has to miss multiple days of camp, we may have to reassign their role so that the other students can continue to rehearse productively since we have such a limited rehearsal period. Parents must notify camp instructors as soon as possible if their camper is going to be late or absent. Failure to inform instructors of an absence may result in immediate role reassignment. Stagebugz will follow all local and federal regulations to prevent the spread of contagious disease among our campers. We continue to closely monitor the situation and will update families if any changes to our COVID protocols are made.  Masks are not currently required at Stagebugz programs, but we will take extra sanitary precautions and ask that campers stay home if they are sick.
