Afro-Caribbean Dance &amp; Movement Workshop Led by a professional teaching artist, this uplifting workshop invites women to reconnect with their bodies, celebrate Afro-Caribbean traditions, relieve stress, and experience the healing power of rhythm, movement, and collective joy.&nbsp; Aliyah Amani Sabirah Jones is a multi-passionate 26 y/o artist. Dance is her first love. She began dancing before she could walk and grew to find a dance home in traditional West African, Haitian traditional and Afro styles. At a very young age, she was introduced to creative writing by her mother who also cultivated this gift and skill. When dance became less accessible, words carried Aliyah through. For a few years, she explored creating afro-futuristic music. She is now taking the time to explore and expand both dance and written works, at her own pace. Currently, Aliyah is a sauna master and working on her first screendance. This season is for returning to herself and 🧘🏾 Sister Circle &amp; Guided Meditation A restorative space for reflection, mindfulness, conversation, and community. Together, we&rsquo;ll nurture emotional well-being, cultivate sisterhood, and honor the importance of caring for ourselves as we care for others. 📚 Children&rsquo;s Storytime Interactive read-alouds featuring stories celebrating drums, dance, Caribbean culture, Black joy, and cultural pride. 🧸 Black Children&rsquo;s Play (Partner Program) Children will enjoy a dedicated play experience hosted by Black Children&rsquo;s Play, featuring open-ended play, sensory exploration, books, and opportunities for connection. The event will have a family-friendly flow, allowing children to naturally move between the play area and dance workshop alongside their caregivers as desired. 🍉 Community Refreshments Light snacks and beverages will be available throughout the afternoon
