Join us at the Log Cabin for the American Legion St Patrick&#39;s Day Celebration and Fundraiser! We will be enjoying the Brosnan School of Dance Irish Dancers then The Shots String Band! The Shots String Band plays songs &amp; tunes that cover a wide range of traditions: Old-Time Appalachian, Bluegrass, Country &amp; Cajun songs &amp; tunes alongside Irish &amp; Scottish material.&nbsp; During the entertainment the American Legion Members joined my the American Legion Auxiliaries will be serving a Corned Beef and Cabbage meal for everyone to enjoy! The proceeds of the event will go towards Veteran Support as well as sponsoring youth to go to our Girls and Boys State Summer Camp. Boys and Girls State offers summer leadership and citizenship programs for high school juniors, which focus on exploring the mechanics of American government and politics. Boys and girls are usually nominated by their high school during their junior year. One male student and one female student from each high school are then selected to receive the honor after a competitive application process. Boys and Girls State programs both began in 1937.
