An Afternoon at the Bilbrew Join the Our Authors Study Club of Los Angeles (OASC) for An Afternoon at the Bilbrew, a special Membership Meeting and New Member Reception celebrating leadership, scholarship, history, and community. This special gathering will welcome OASC&#39;s newest members, introduce Dr. Donna J. Nicol as OASC Historian, and recognize her historic appointment as the first Black Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at California State University, Long Beach. Guests will also celebrate the distinguished career and retirement of Dr. Maulana Karenga, internationally renowned scholar, creator of Kwanzaa, and pioneering leader in Africana Studies. The afternoon will also mark the official launch of the OASC Senior Legacy Recognition Program, with the induction of the inaugural Charter Class of 2026.
