Valued at $500 | Commissioned 24x30 painting by Nicki Pliodzinskas, “Glimmers of Heaven"

Artist Statement: This piece was inspired by a trip to the beach: I was caught off guard by the beauty of the sun glistening like a million diamonds off the remains of a wave as it went back out to sea. When I thought about God as an artist, what I was staring at was pretty miraculous and mind-blowing. At that point, I realized that these little glimmers of God were pieces of Heaven on earth. I looked around at every person playing in the water, building sandcastles, walking the beach... I didn’t know a single person. I didn’t even know if they were believers or not. But I DID KNOW one thing: they all came to experience the joy and peace that the beach brings... but was it more? Was it their souls, as children of God, that were craving a touch from Heaven? I guess I’ll never know.
