Appalachian Warrior Tribe will be hosting its inaugural Annual Armed Forces Day Bass Fishing Tournament Lake Fontana on Saturday, May 9th, 2026. This Tournament is being held in honor of Armed Forces Day (this Patriotic Holiday takes place on May 16th, 2026). Appalachian Warrior Tribe, Inc. is a federally-designated 501(c)3 non-profit corporation (Charity) based in Swain County, NC led by Military Veterans who live here in Swain County. &mdash;&mdash; Location: - Lemmons Branch Boat Dock on Lake Fontana Lemmons Branch Boatdock RdAlmond, NC &nbsp;28702United States &mdash;&mdash; - Boats will draw a number from a hat on the day of the tournament to determine launch order. - Tournament Start: Safe Light. - Tournament End: 4:00 PM (EST). - Fish Fry Dinner: 4:30 PM (EST) till dark.
