It&#39;s time for the village to help close the GAP! &nbsp; $750 dollars shouldn&#39;t keep anyone from attaining their dreams! This belief is why the Nation&#39;s Capital Chapter of Jack and Jill supports the HBCU GAP Fund. The Jack and Jill of America Foundation has a 10-year, $2 million goal to support the thousands of HBCU students who, each year, are in jeopardy of not reaching their full potential and entering the job market with the post-secondary credentials they worked so diligently for. &nbsp;The average amount of unmet financial need at graduation is $750 per student. Our aim as a chapter and organization is that every child, not just our own, has life-enhancing opportunities. That&#39;s why we throw the most litty party with a purpose each homecoming season to raise funds to help close this critical GAP. This year, in the spirit of friendly competition, our theme is Homecoming: Battle of the Bandz. We invite donors, sponsors, and ticket buyers to identify the HBCU they want to represent. The HBCU with the most representation will win coveted bragging rights in the first annual Battle of the Bandz. These extraordinary times call for extraordinary support.
