Art Appreciation for Grown Folks: Culture, Creativity &amp; ExpressionArt Appreciation for Grown Folks is an engaging 8 week experience designed for adults 50 and older who want to explore art in a welcoming, relaxed environment. No previous art experience is required.The class meets eight consecutive Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., beginning August 3, 2026, and concluding September 21, 2026. The program will culminate with a participant art exhibition showcasing the work created throughout the course. Exhibit date and details will be announced.Each Monday evening, we&#39;ll discover the stories behind influential Black artists, explore a variety of artistic styles and mediums, and create our own artwork inspired by what we&#39;ve learned. Through collage, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and more, you&#39;ll build confidence, express your creativity, and connect with others who simply enjoy making art.This is not a traditional art class filled with lectures or grades. It is a space for conversation, creativity, laughter, and discovery.
