Join DSACO and Oklahoma Contemporary for Shine Studio: A DSACO Art Camp, an inclusive creative experience designed specifically for youth and young adults with Down syndrome ages 12+. Shine Studio will meet every Thursday in October from 5:00&ndash;7:00 PM, giving participants the opportunity to explore their creativity, build new skills, and connect with others in an encouraging and supportive art environment. Held during Down Syndrome Awareness Month, this program celebrates the creativity, abilities, and individuality of people with Down syndrome. Throughout the month, participants will work with artists and educators to explore hands-on visual art projects while incorporating literacy, reading comprehension, storytelling, self-expression, self-care, and social-emotional learning. Friends and family are invited to join us from 5:00&ndash;7:00 PM to view and celebrate the artwork participants created throughout the month. This special evening will give our artists the opportunity to see their work displayed in a professional arts setting, celebrate their accomplishments, and share their creativity with the people who mean the most to them. Shine Studio is more than an art program&mdash;it is a space for young people with Down syndrome to create, learn, connect, and shine! ✨
