Seize a once-in-a-lifetime experience of the 61st Venice Biennale, surrounded by the beauty of Venice, Italy for three days this September. Travel with Susan Cross, MASS MoCA Director of Curatorial Affairs and Jennifer Lees, former Venice resident and MASS MoCA Director of Visitor Experience. Up to 8 guests will:

  • Enjoy the Venice Biennale with a private highlights tour of the best national pavilions in the Giardini and the celebrated Arsenale exhibition curated by Koyo Kough. In Minor Keys includes many MASS MoCA alumni artists, including Laurie Anderson and Carrie Schneider, whose ambitious project for Venice grew out of her MASS MoCA show. Gain access to behind-the-scenes stories and insider perspectives.
  • Experience the Peggy Guggenheim Collection on an after hours tour, followed by cocktails with views of the Grand Canal from the museum's rooftop garden.
  • Venture through the Pinault Collection with a special welcome and private tour.
  • Marvel at the recent artistic and architectural restorations guided by Melissa Conn, Director of Save Venice followed by lunch at a charming neighborhood trattoria. 
  • Indulge in exquisite cuisine at welcome and farewell dinners.
  • Three night stay in the elegant Ca’ d’Dio Hotel, steps away from the Arsenale exhibitions.

Auction package includes three nights hotel, tickets to the Biennale Giardini and Arsenale, private tours at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Pinault Collection, and Save Venice restoration projects, as well two MASS MoCA hosted dinners, one lunch, and lodging with breakfast. Your guides to must-see highlights paired with delicious local cuisine will be Jennifer Lees, MASS MoCA Director of Visitor Experience and former Marfa resident, along with Susan Cross, MASS MoCA Director of Curatorial Affairs. Up to 8 guests will experience:

  • Private tour and special dusk experience at the Chinati Foundation
  • Private tour of Judd Foundation  including the Block (Donald Judd’s home, library and personal collection), as well as Judd’s studios throughout town
  • Private tour of celebrated contemporary art museum, Ballroom Marfa   
  • Private visits to artist studios 
  • Three night stay at the Hotel St. George in downtown Marfa

Fall in love with the Northern Berkshire arts scene over a two-day idyllic weekend experience, led by Susan Cross, Director Curatorial Affairs and Jennifer Lees, Director of Visitor Experience. Up to six guests will enjoy:

  • Private visits to the studios of local artists with national profiles, such as Willie Binnie, Ohan Breiding, Mary Lum, and Pallavi Sen.
  • Pair your artistic exploration with delightful dining experiences through the Northern Berkshires that highlight the local blossoming culinary scene. Stops on our tour will include Casita, Bluebird & Co, and State Food & Drink

This lot is for a group of 6. This weekend experience includes hotel discounts for a two-night stay, transportation between artists’ studios, a MASS MoCA-hosted dinner and lunch, optional Friday afternoon curator-led tour of MASS MoCA with Susan Cross, and. Final itinerary is subject to artists' availability. MASS MoCA will block hotel rooms for the lot winner to purchase directly. Travel, accommodations, and additional meals will be the responsibility of the buyer. Trip to be scheduled for summer or fall 2026 or spring 2027.
