How do statisticians become leaders? What qualities do some have that make people listen and act? What do some do to get promoted or appointed or differentiate themselves to grow and advance faster than others?&nbsp;Gary will share what it takes to grow as a leader - the skills &amp; behaviors, a high-level roadmap, and what you can do to get started. Most leaders become leaders by studying, getting the right coaching and mentoring, developing and applying the proper skills, and continuously learning and growing through that process. &nbsp;In this talk, Gary will focus on three questions:&bull;What is leadership?&nbsp;&bull;What skills do leaders have?&nbsp;&bull;How do you develop and apply these skills?&nbsp;Leadership development is a journey that takes many years. It may seem overwhelming but there are some easy ways to start and to make fast progress and Gary will discuss those ways.
