The Astronomy 102 course is a supplement to our Astronomy 101 class and is intended to provide a depth of information on astronomy from its history to modern concepts, including basics in astrophysics (stars, black holes, and cosmology). &nbsp;The class is targeted to beginning observers, adults and teens, or those interested in a refresher course in basic observational astronomy.&nbsp; Prerequisites: NoneInstructor: Jeff Delmas Each session includes about 45 minutes of lecture followed by observing night sky together through telescope 🌌. Build on the basics, learn to use telescopes more confidently, and ask all the questions you&rsquo;ve been saving. The first session is Tuesday, Feb 24 at 7:00 pm. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive before 7:00. The VBAS gate will be open by 6:30 pm. When you arrive at the Monte Sano State Park entrance, tell the attendant that you&#39;re going to the planetarium and they&#39;ll let you in at no charge. The gate to VBAS is the next left after the campground entrance. Feel free to drive all the way to the parking area by the planetarium or use the grassy field and walk along the lighted path to the planetarium. ✨ We look forward to seeing you at our first session.
