This panel brings together designers and industry voices across hotel design, boutique hospitality, restaurant design, and surface solutions for a candid conversation on the strategy, creativity, and problem-solving behind successful hospitality environments. Through real-world project examples, panelists will explore career paths, design decision-making, the challenges and rewards of hospitality design, and current industry realities including tariffs, supply chain disruptions, code compliance, material performance, and client expectations. Moderated by Richard Hess, designer, educator, and founder of Illume Design, the discussion will feature: Shannon Rice Hospitality and luxury residential designer with extensive experience in hotel conversions and large-scale renovation projects. Anjum Razvi Founder and President of Razvi Design Studio, with a background in architecture and award-winning experience in boutique hotel design.
