Autism and ADHD in the Perinatal Period

She has a passion for working with the perinatal population due to her own personal experiences with perinatal anxiety, pregnancy loss, and traumatic birth. Emily has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, specializing in perinatal mental health, parenting young children, OCD and trauma. PHA Presents: Autism and ADHD in the Perinatal Period San Diego Postpartum Health Alliance is excited to welcome Emily Beltran, LCSW, PMH-C for this workshop focused perinatal mental health challenges experienced by individuals with autism and ADHD during pregnancy and postpartum. Target Audience: Licensed psychologists and therapists, graduate students, allied mental health professionals, and other providers who work with new parents and families. Learning Objectives: This workshop is designed to help you: <ol><li>Describe common perinatal mental health challenges experienced by individuals with autism and ADHD during pregnancy and the postpartum period.</li><li>List interventions that can improve mental health outcomes for individuals with autism and ADHD during pregnancy and postpartum.</li><li>Identify common co-occurring disorders among individuals with autism and ADHD during pregnancy and postpartum.</li></ol>Course Level: Intermediate Presenter: Emily Beltran, LCSW, PMH-C is a late diagnosed Autistic, ADHD, and queer mama to three children living in Southern California. She has a passion for working with the perinatal population due to her own personal experiences with perinatal anxiety, pregnancy loss, and traumatic birth. Emily has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, specializing in perinatal mental health, parenting young children, OCD and trauma. Continuing Education Credits: 2 CEs will be available for participants who attend this event live via Zoom. To ensure you receive the appropriate credit, please be sure to select the corresponding "CE Ticket Type" when registering for this workshop. CEs will only be granted to participants who attend live and select the correct ticket type.  The Postpartum Health Alliance is approved by the California Psychological Association (CPA) to provide continuing professional education for psychologists. The Postpartum Health Alliance maintains responsibility for this program and its content. CPA CE credit is accepted by the Board of Behavioral Sciences for their licensees. If you are an out-of-state participant or seeking CEs for another license, please check with your licensing board to ensure they accept CPA CEs.  To earn CE credits, we kindly ask that you comply with the following requirements: a) be sure to provide your license number during registration; b) appear on camera during a majority of the workshop so we can verify attendance; and c) take the post-workshop evaluation survey by the due date.  This workshop is approved by Postpartum Support International for CE credits for maintaining PMH-C. Start and End Times: The workshop will begin promptly at 12 PM and conclude at 2 PM PST. No breaks are scheduled. Attendance Policy: Please stay for the entire duration of the course. CE Credit and Certificates will not be issued to those who arrive later than 15 minutes after the start time or those who leave early. This policy is strictly enforced to ensure compliance with CPA guidelines.  Can't attend live but want to learn more? A video recording of the presentation will be made available to all registrants barring any technical issues. Please select the ticket without CEs if you know in advance that you cannot attend live.
