LXCL:Good for one tent space: first-come, first-choice for location around the Observatory area. Recommended 4-person max per tent space (select more than 1 if you have a larger group, please). Stargazing portion included. Overnight access to restrooms, minifridge, and microwave in the facility.

Tent Camping Space - Sumerlin Summit field location

Continuing our intentions of hosting programs aligned with solstices and equinoxes and other astronomical events, we&#39;re celebrating Autumn Equinox together with a campout and stargazing! &nbsp;This event is co-hosted with the Belk Observatory Director. &nbsp;Come for the whole evening or just the star gazing! We have reserved the Belk Observatory and surrounding Sumerlin Summit field for the experience. &nbsp;Registrants who reserve a tent site through this form must stay in the area near the observatory. &nbsp;The Claytor Nature Center campground area and EcoLodge are also available as separate overnight accommodations by emailing <a fr-original-style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit;" href="mailto:claytor@lynchburg.edu" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit;" target="_blank">claytor@lynchburg.edu</a>.
