Join us for an unforgettable adventure with Shifting Gears as we explore the scenic beauty of Wallace Falls State Park! Discover cascading waterfalls, ancient hemlock forests, and breathtaking views while empowering each other in the great outdoors. Our Wallace Falls Day Hike will take you along the iconic Woody Trail to experience the beauty of these natural wonders. This day-long adventure begins in downtown Bellingham at 7:15 am and returns by 6 pm, offering the perfect introduction to hiking. Designed for beginners, our guided hike covers approximately 5 miles with around 1400 feet of elevation gain, ensuring plenty of stops for water and snacks along the way. We'll also do a pre-trip meet and greet on June 27th from 5:30-7pm. Location is TBD! During the meet n greet, we'll go over the route and plan for the day, along with what gear to bring and answer any of your questions! Registration is $20 per person, which helps cover transportation and ensures you'll be guided by experienced trip leaders throughout the journey. However, if you're unable to afford the registration fee, we offer an affordable option that is completely free of charge for those in need. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature, regardless of financial circumstances. Participants are expected to bring appropriate footwear, clothing, a backpack, lunch, snacks, and water for the day.
