The primary purpose of the Acadiana Master Naturalists (AMN) Program is to educate Louisiana citizens about their flora and fauna, as well as other aspects of their environment, ecosystem, and natural history. Once certified, active members are required to use their talents to educate others or assist programs that promote and protect Louisiana’s natural heritage.  Workshops typically have a balance between field time and classroom time and often require a lot of walking through wooded areas. We strive to create unique, hands-on opportunities in nature, guided by the top environmental experts in our area.  To earn a naturalist certification, participants are required to complete 8 of 10 workshops (in full), an exam and a pre-approved special project.  Upon completing this form and paying the program fee, your application will be accepted for the 2025 program. Once we have received 20 forms, we will stop taking applications.
