The Nevada Kids Foundation is hosting our 2nd Annual, ‘Making Spirits Brighter - Holiday Donation Drive'.  

We will be collecting a broad range of NEW/NEVER BEEN USED items again this year that will be organized, grouped together and distributed to the youth who need it most in our local shelters, foster homes & schools across Northern Nevada. 

WHAT WE NEED...

(NEW & UNWRAPPED)

Ages 0-18 & all sizes needed   

• Diapers/formula/wipes
• Clothing/socks/ shoes 
• Bed-in-a-bag (full & twin sets) 
• Pillows/Mattress covers/protectors
• Pack n’ plays w/sheets
• Toiletries-
• Toys/games/books/art supplies
• School supplies/backpacks
• Transportation passes 
• GIFT CARDS & MONETARY donations

Our goal this year will be to collect enough  (physical & monetary) donations to be able to provide ‘Christmas Care Packages’ to more than 600+ kids in the Fernley, Reno, Sparks, Carson & Elko areas. 

The care packages will include not only toys but essential items such as bedding, clothing & toiletries as well. 

Most of our success depends on the generosity of our amazing locals… individuals, families and forward-thinking businesses & groups that like to give back to their communities. 

We are honored to be one of the local organizations that you are considering donating to this winter.  

Your support is so important and would help us to be able to BRIGHTEN THE SPIRITS of more children, offering them the chance to briefly escape the cold reality of their own, often difficult, circumstances to enjoy some peace, happiness and warmth during these extra challenging winter/holiday months.  

You have the option to personally shop for your donations, in person or online, or you may also give a monetary donation that will be used to purchase the necessary items to fulfill a wish list from a child in the demographic you selected.

How it works:

1.)Shop for material items yourself: 

If you are shopping online, please consider shipping your items directly to either of our storage facilities:

OR   please be sure to drop off your donation to your offices NO LATER THAN December 15, 2022

2.) Make a monetary donation & Adopt via our “Virtual Angel Tree”:

          You have 3 options in this space...

    - Select “MATERIAL ITEM DONATION” and answer the questions that apply 

        as you proceed to checkout.

(Letting us know what gender/age group you plan to shop for, how many kids and a general description of what types of items you plan to purchase, will help us stay as organized and efficient as possible.)

    - Select the Gender/Age groups you would like to contribute to and how many children you would like to “adopt” and proceed to the checkout. 

   - Select “ORNAMENT ONLY DONATION” If you are at an Angel Tree location & would like to purchase the ornament by itself.  

**You will also have the option to add an additional donation at checkout if you prefer to contribute a custom value.**

** If you have purchased & dropped off donations but have not yet received a tax receipt, please email us at director@nevadakidsfoundation.org with your name & an estimated value of your donation so that we may provide one to you. 

3.) If you would like to participate in a larger capacity here are some ideas of ways to get involved:

• Sponsor a Donation Drop-off location and have one of our wrapped boxes available for donations
• Decorate an “Angel Tree” with our Foundation Ornaments 
• Host a friendly donation drive “competition” amongst your staff, colleagues, customers, families or friends
• Collect a specific item(s) from our list for the drive... ex.  Bedding, toiletries, gift cards etc. and set a personal goal for your group to reach. 
• IN-KIND donations of goods your company supplies
