International Champions Come to Wisconsin RapidsFor one night, the reigning champions of barbershop harmony will be singing on a Lincoln High School stage. Three and a Half Men took gold at the 2024 Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention &mdash; the top prize in a field drawn from around the world. Their baritone, Tony De Rosa, is a five-time international gold medalist and a music and vocal director at Walt Disney World, where he directs the Voices of Liberty at EPCOT and the Dapper Dans at the Magic Kingdom and serves as vocal director for Finding Nemo: The Musical. This is the kind of singing most people only ever hear on a recording.They&#39;re joined once again by Coulee Classic, La Crosse&#39;s own quartet and a favorite with our audience every year, who placed 26th in that same international field.Opening the evening: the high school singers of the 3rd Annual Harmony Workshop, from Wisconsin Rapids and communities across the region, performing music they learned that very day with both quartets coaching them. Four voices, no instruments &mdash; nothing but tuning, blend, and the ringing overtones that happen when it&#39;s done right. Bring someone who&#39;s never heard it.
