Kids will learn about different kinds of bees and their vital role in pollination and our food supply. Then, each child will decorate their own bee hotel to take home and hang in the backyard — a fun way to support our buzzing friends!
🐝 Workshop Details:
- Friday, July 2nd 10:00 am - noon
- $35 per child (includes all supplies and a free plant to bring home)
- One adult may bring up to two children (ages 5–12 recommended)
- 20 child/adult team spots available — register early!
- The workshop is indoors, but kids will be painting — please dress accordingly
Participants will receive printed information about bees, and Master Gardener℠ volunteers will be on hand to assist and answer questions. After the workshop, enjoy an optional tour of the Brunswick County Extension Demonstration Gardens. Our Story Walk - A Rose Named Peace - will still be displayed throughout the garden.
Proceeds help support Cooperative Extension outreach, educational programs, and the Botanical Garden.
