💜 Houston’s Lift Off: Turning Love Into Hope Houston’s Lift Off was created in loving memory of my son, Houston, whose life and legacy are the heart behind everything we do. Although his time here was far too short, his impact continues to inspire a mission rooted in love, compassion, and support for families navigating the challenges of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Through Houston’s Lift Off, I am committed to turning my love for my son into something that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of other families. We understand that a NICU journey can be overwhelming, emotional, and unpredictable. Families often face unexpected financial burdens, extended hospital stays, and the stress of being away from home while their little ones fight their toughest battles. Our mission is to remind these families that they are not alone.Through NICU care baskets, hotel assistance through Houston’s Landing, food and gas gift cards, essential baby supplies, and bereavement support, Houston’s Lift Off strives to ease some of the burdens families experience during these difficult times. We are dedicated to offering comfort, encouragement, and practical assistance to families receiving care at Akron Children’s Hospital inside Aultman Hospital. 🏀 Introducing Our First-Ever Ballin’ for Babies Event! We are proud to announce our first-ever Ballin’ for Babies basketball fundraising event in partnership with the Cleveland Charge! 📅 Date: January 8, 2027 🕖 Time: 7:00 PM 🏀 Game: Cleveland Charge vs. Maine Celtics 🎉 Theme: Elvis Night! 👕 Bonus: Every ticket purchase includes a Ballin’ for Babies T-shirt! This will be available for pick up at the game or we can arrange to meet before then! No refunds will be given. This special event is especially meaningful because it takes place during Houston’s 11th Angelversary month. What better way to honor my son’s memory than by bringing our community together to support NICU babies and their families? This event represents the love I will always carry for Houston and my commitment to turning that love into hope for others. Ballin’ for Babies is about more than basketball. It is about celebrating the strength, resilience, and courage of NICU babies and their families while raising funds and awareness to help support their journeys. 💜 A Special Halftime Recognition During halftime, NICU families and NICU graduates will be invited to walk through the high-five tunnel on the court and be recognized in front of the crowd. This special moment will celebrate the incredible strength, determination, and resilience of these families and their little fighters. Every NICU journey is different, but each one deserves to be honored. Whether a family is currently navigating the NICU or celebrating the journey their child has overcome, we want them to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Our hope is to fill the arena with encouragement, love, and high-fives for the families who have experienced the NICU journey firsthand.Every ticket purchased includes a T-shirt, helping us bring our supporters together while raising funds for our mission. Every ticket sold, every donation made, and every person who shares our story helps us continue providing meaningful support to families who need it most. With the Cleveland Charge helping us bring this vision to life, we hope Ballin’ for Babies becomes a lasting tradition that celebrates little fighters, honors their families, and inspires our community to stand together. 💜 Our Purpose, His Legacy Houston’s Lift Off is more than an organization. It is a mother's love transformed into a mission, a way to honor Houston's memory, and a commitment to supporting families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. We believe every NICU family deserves compassion, encouragement, and a community that understands their journey. We want every parent to know that even in the hardest moments, they do not have to walk this road alone.Through our programs, partnerships, fundraising events, and community outreach, we will continue working to make a difference—one family, one baby, and one act of kindness at a time.Houston’s legacy will live on through every family we support, every little fighter we celebrate, and every life we touch. In loving memory of Houston. Forever our inspiration. Forever our reason. Forever in our hearts. 💜🪽🍼Houston’s Lift Off — Lifting NICU Families, Honoring Little Fighters, and Turning Love Into Hope.
