On Wednesday, May 6th, we are excited to be taking a Granite-wide field trip to the Baltimore Museum of Industry! All grades are welcome to attend. Students are not required to attend, but classes will not be meeting on campus that day and there will be no options classes. The museum is located on the south side of the Inner Harbor along Key Highway, about 30 minutes from our campus. We will meet at Trinity Baltimore at 8:30 am and return around 1:30 pm. We need parents and tutors to serve as chaperones and to transport students to and from the museum. We would love to have you join us! Chaperones may attend the trip free of charge. There is free and convenient parking in the museum parking lot. If you would prefer to drive your students straight to the museum, please indicate that when signing up. You should plan to arrive no later than 9:45 am at the museum. During our time at the museum, our students will participate in the following&nbsp;programs:Kindergarteners and 1st graders:&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Little Gears: Put a Lid On It&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- City Builders2nd grade through 7th grade:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- &nbsp;Kids&#39; Motorworks&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Design It: Ball and TrackClick <a fr-original-style="" href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wL_ppyJpmpMa6P3JtwviUXQGmoWr38zY/view?usp=sharing" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">here</a> for a description of the programs!&nbsp; Students should also bring a packed lunch to eat during our time there. Families/Chaperones who are not responsible for transporting students back to Granite are welcome to tour the museum on their own after the programs; however, students must be accompanied by a familiar adult at all times. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the programs, we are not able to accommodate younger siblings on this trip. The cost for students is $10.50 per student for kindergarteners and 1st graders and $13.50 per student for the 2nd through 7th graders. If the cost is prohibitive for your family, please let us know. The deadline for signing up to attend is Monday, April 20th. We will not be able to issue refunds or accommodate late sign ups, so please sign up now! Permission slips will be distributed to those attending as we get closer to the trip.
