Working from direct observation, students will learn sighting and measuring techniques, working with light and shadow, seeing negative space, drawing texture and pattern and creating a sense of space using perspective and other devices. Class time will be a combination of discussion, critique and working from still life displays. Home assignments will be given. No prior experience is needed.
