Over six fun, in-person sessions, and 6 weeks of at home practice, you&rsquo;ll learn the basics of Samba percussion and become part of this Miami vibrant cultural tradition. Whether you&rsquo;re a total beginner or a musician, we invite you to keep an open mind, make lots of joyful noise, and connect with one of the six core instruments that shape our unique sound: TamborimRepiqueCaixaSurdo (1, 2, 3)TimbauGanz&aacute; / Chocalho Who can join?Bateria Academy is open to all ages&mdash;youth and adults! Participants under 15 must enroll with a parent, who will join every session. How it works:&nbsp;Video lesson prep and practice before + in person&nbsp; group rehearsals. Six Sunday group rehearsal sessions, each two hours long as the culmination of study at home during the week with Miamibloco weekly videos sent via DISCORD (see dates below) Practice at home is encouraged for a successful and fun group class environment: just 15 minutes, three times a week makes a HUGE difference.
