Asheville Ecstatic Dance and Warren Wilson College Present: Fundraiser for Maui fire relief A Freeform Movement Prayer With DJ Jai Dee  Wednesday, September 27, 20237:pm to 9:pm Location:  Warren Wilson College, Morris Pavilion East LaneSwannanoa, North Carolina, 28778 <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/JbthCezHKLRZZEuB6" target="_blank"> https://goo.gl/maps/JbthCezHKLRZZEuB6</a>  On August 8, 2023, the town of Lāhainā in Western Maui was mostly destroyed by a wildfire. Many residents were running for their lives, and were not able to grab any of their clothing or other possessions. As of writing this, 93 are confirmed dead, with hundreds still missing. All in all, 2207 buildings were destroyed, with an estimated 89% of them being residential. This left an astonishing number of people without their homes, with 4500 people currently being sheltered in public shelters. There are 9000 meals needed per day in addition to many other medical and social care needs.   Join us on September, 27, 2023, for an outdoor Pavilion Dance fundraiser. We will dance for the benefit of those still sheltering, as it could take months or years to rebuild or even to build temporary housing for those that lost everything in a flash. *Please donate $15, $20, $25 or more.  *This will be a ticketed event, with all tickets distributed on Zeffy, with a minimum $15 donation.  *Space will be limited, and no one will be admitted without a ticket (Current Enrolled WW Students Exempted).   *Please pay attention on Zeffy -- Zeffy will automatically add a tip. This tip goes to Zeffy. You are welcome to change the Zeffy tip to $0. If you want to donate extra to our Maui Fund, then do not do so in a tip. You will add your extra donation to the extra donation to Asheville Ecstatic Dance field.
