La promoción de quinto grado de la escuela primaria San Lorenzo Valley de 2024-25 asistirá a la Escuela de Ciencias al aire libre del 21 al 24 de enero de 2025.  YMCA Camp Campbell en Boulder Creek se lleva a cabo en la belleza única del bosque Redwood, que proporciona un "laboratorio" natural para instrucción intensiva en conservación de recursos, ecología, educación ambiental, responsabilidad personal y habilidades de trabajo en equipo.  Los niños se alojan durante la noche en viviendas con calefacción y acondicionadas para el invierno, y se sirven comidas de estilo familiar tres veces al día, junto con un refrigerio cada día (opciones vegetarianas en cada comida, así como alojamiento para estudiantes con restricciones dietéticas). La supervisión la brindan el personal de la escuela de ciencias, los maestros visitantes y los líderes de cabina voluntarios capacitados las 24 horas del día. Supervision is provided 24 hours a day by Science School Staff, visiting Classroom Teachers, and trained Volunteer Cabin Leaders. The cost of Outdoor Science School and transportation is $400. Your family can pay the total of $400 all at once or over 4 installments by the 30th of each month: September 30th, October 30th, November 30th, and December 30th ($100 each).  Payment is preferred in full.  Additional donations will go towards Science Camp Scholarships.
