A person that donates either items of value or money can play on behalf of their charity if they chose to, they will receive a tax receipt for their donation, but the particular game that they participate in as it relates to that donation is in ineligible to win a prize in order to be in compliance with IRS gambling statutes. there can be no "pay to to play". However, that same player is eligible to be randomly chosen to play in a future game where they haven't made a donation for a chance to win money or prize of value. 4.
