Eid Orlando is dedicated to uniting the Central Florida Muslim community for a family-friendly Eid prayer and celebration. Now in our 8th year, Eid Orlando will be back at the Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse, for Eid ul-Fitr Prayer on Wednesday, April 10th.
Eid is supposed to be a joyous time for the entire family, but with the genocide of innocent lives in Palestine, Sudan, The Congo and so many more suffering around the globe, this Eid will be unlike any other. Although we will gather our community and will still provide our signature activities for children, this year we will also incorporate ways to take action and extend our solidarity and prayers for those who are experiencing loss. Our joy will be a resistance as we come together for some special actions, especially using creative forms of solidarity and collective action, to be there for one another and our sisters and brothers around the world.
We are still confirming this year's Khateeb, but the event will take place at the same halls in Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse: the Valencia Ballroom with entertainment in Exhibition Hall D2.
The event includes:

FAQs
Is there a fee for the ticket?
To help offset the cost of the venue and entertainment, and sustain an event of this size, there is a registration fee. Tickets are required for anyone age 3 or older. We understand that some families may have financial constraints, to request a Registration Fee Waiver for you and your family, please submit the form at: https://goo.gl/forms/a1e7M7CQu4krJqJm2
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes and no. You need to bring your ticket but you can have it printed OR on your phone to save paper. Your ticket will be checked upon entry of the event. Because we are expecting 4,000+ people, the only way Eid Orlando can ensure everyone has adequate space is to make registration MANDATORY. Again, this is so we can make sure there is a spot for YOU! :) Please register and bring your ticket to avoid delays.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
THIS YEAR PARKING FEES ARE INCORPORATED IN THE TICKET PRICE. This will shorten wait times at entry and insha'Allah make the whole process smoother. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND all drivers to drop-off family members especially elderly and those who require assistance at the designated "Drop-off Zone" at the front entrance prior to parking. Additional parking is available at the Rosen Centre Hotel. Carpooling is highly encouraged as parking may become limited.
What time will Eid Salaat begin?
Takbirat will begin at 9:30am and Eid Salaat will begin Insha'Allah at 10:00am sharp. We anticipate long lines and traffic to the Convention Center, so we highly recommend that you plan to arrive 45 - 60 minutes prior to the the start of prayer so you have ample time to park, walk over, and ensure your spot in the main hall. Doors open at 9:00am.
Should I bring my own prayer rug?
This year we are praying in a West Concourse hall which is carpeted. The prayer area will be clean, but we always recommend that you bring your own prayer rugs. Chairs will be available for those who require them.
Will there be boxes available to collect Fitrah?
Yes. Boxes exclusively for Zakat-ul-Fitr will be available till the start of Eid Salaat. Eid Orlando highly encourages its attendees to pay their Zakat-ul-Fitr in advance at their respective institutions/Masjids. This will allow for the timely distribution to those in need. Any Zakat-ul-Fitr collected on-site will be given to an appropriate organization/Masjid to distribute according to the Sunnah.
What time will the kids activities begin as well as food for purchase?
The Entertainment hall will open right after prayer is finished.
What types of activities will be available for kids?
Arrangements have been made for all ages to enjoy, including teenagers! This may include but is not limited to, bounce houses/inflatables, face painting, etc.
Will there be HALAL food available?
Yes, multiple vendors will be present to serve our Muslim guests. Eid Orlando has made arrangements with the Orange County Convention Center for HALAL food to be available for purchase. THE OCCC IS NOW CASHLESS SO THEIR FOOD VENDORS WILL ONLY ACCEPT CREDIT/DEBIT/ELECTRIC PAYMENTS.
