Day of the workshop:- We will have a waiting room and will let you 5 minutes before we start.- Please rename yourself to the name you registered with and your pronouns (should you feel comfortable doing so).- To get the best experience possible, you will need to join Zoom via a desktop or laptop. During the workshop:- Brittney will provide us with information regarding her background.- She will share her personal experience about what it was like finding interpreters while applying for her PhD program.&nbsp;- Brittney will explain the Institutional Review Boards (IRB) process to provide interpreters with a better understanding PhD commitments.- Brittney will touch on the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI), its barriers, and share stories from others about their experience with the ASLPI.- There will be two 15 minute practice videos for interpreters to try their skill at a PhD level register.- Reflection and discussion to follow. &nbsp; After the workshop:- There will be an evaluation sent out after the workshop. After the eval is submitted, you&#39;ll receive the link to the sign in sheet. The sign in sheet is required for CEUs.- Certificate of attendance will be sent out by July 26th 5 pm CST.
