To properly remember and pay tribute to the victims of those attacks and the ongoing continuous wars engendered by them, we will reach out to our namesake Friedrich Schiller, the&nbsp;Poet of Freedom. On Friday, September 11, 2026 the Schiller Institute NYC Chorus will perform musical settings of two of Schiller&#39;s poems, set by Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms, with orchestra. The first is Beethoven&#39;s Choral Symphony No. 9, and Schiller&#39;s An die Freude&nbsp;(To Joy), and the second is Schiller&#39;s N&auml;nie, a song of lament, set by Johannes Brahms for orchestra &quot;with as many harps as possible.&quot;.
