Behind the Screens: Clicks, Consequences and Prevention&nbsp; is a one-day training designed to equip adults with the knowledge and tools needed to better understand the digital world youth are navigating every day. From social media to messaging apps, today&rsquo;s online spaces can expose young people to serious risks. This training will explore the realities youth face online and how we can recognize warning signs, respond effectively, and provide meaningful support. Throughout the day, participants will hear from experts on topics including online safety, sexting and West Virginia laws, sextortion, grooming, human trafficking, and the growing role of artificial intelligence. The training will conclude with a powerful session from Dr. Jim Harris focused on self-care for those working with youth and managing the weight of these difficult topics. This training is ideal for social workers, educators, counselors, youth-serving professionals, and anyone committed to protecting and supporting young people.
