Or our Emergency Shelter, which is currently operating at Code Blue capacity to keep adults and families out of the dangerous (and potentially fatal) winter weather conditions. Or our Permanent Supported Housing programs, which offer a stable home and sense of community for those with a history of chronic homelessness and certain disabilities that make it difficult for them to succeed in other environments.  All of our services are low-barrier, informed by <a href="https://shelterforce.org/2012/07/22/housing_first/" target="_blank">Housing First</a> and harm-reduction principles, because everyone, regardless of their experience or capacity, deserves the dignity of a safe place to call home.  $20,000 is equivalent to about one month of emergency shelter for a family of four for those who may have previously been sleeping unsheltered and unhoused.
