Your ticket purchase or donation directly contributes to The Clinicians Clique&rsquo;s scholarship program which empowers reentering citizens, specifically fathers, to pursue barbering certification at Bladensburg Barber School. This initiative addresses systemic disparities in our criminal justice system. Black men are disproportionately affected, receiving federal sentences that are, on average, 19.1% longer than those of white men for similar offenses, even after accounting for various factors . Furthermore, upon release, formerly incarcerated individuals face significant employment challenges; at any given time, only about 40% are employed, and a third find no employment at all over four years post-release . By supporting this scholarship, you&#39;re not only providing educational opportunities but also fostering entrepreneurship, reducing reliance on traditional employment pathways that often exclude those with criminal records. Your contribution aids in breaking the cycle of recidivism and promotes equitable opportunities for all.
