This ASL Book Club class is designed for students ages 6–9 who are ready to build language, literacy, and communication skills through storytelling in American Sign Language. Students will explore fairy tales and classic stories by reading them and then watching their ASL versions. They will engage in discussion, role play, and visual storytelling while practicing vocabulary, comprehension, and expressive signing. The class helps students move beyond basic vocabulary by developing more natural communication, imagination, and confidence through interactive activities and peer engagement. This class is Deaf-led and voiced in English, creating an accessible and welcoming environment for new learners.
