Bowen PTO's Mystery Cocktails & Dessert - Saturday October 3rd

Get ready for The Mystery Cocktails & Dessert - the adult-only social event of the fall season!

This is a unique and fun way for parents and community members to enjoy an evening of socializing, drinks, and delicious desserts while supporting the enrichment activities for every Bowen student.

The evening begins with a cocktail party at one generous Host Home, where all attendees will gather for cocktails, appetizers, and games. Midway through the evening, the big reveal: you'll receive a sealed envelope disclosing the address of your Mystery Dessert Home, where you’ll join a more intimate group of 8–12 Bowen community members.

Event History & Community Connection

We are thrilled to bring back this beloved Bowen tradition for another year! It is an event that many elementary schools in Newton put on to allow parents to meet other families and build stronger community ties.

For your convenience, all Host Families live walkable to Bowen Elementary. Attendees are encouraged to carpool, uber or walk between destinations.

Evening Timeline: Saturday, November 8th

• 7:00PM - Cocktail Hour –The evening kicks off! All attendees will arrive at this location to enjoy cocktails, mocktails, appetizers and music with friends new and old to discover your Mystery Dessert Host location.
• 8:30PM - Time to head to your next location. You will receive a sealed envelope. Open it to discover the location of the Mystery Dessert Home.
• 8:45PM -Time to head out to the final, smaller gathering!
• 10:30PM - The fun concludes.

Please note that dinner is NOT included in this event. We suggest eating a light meal beforehand.
