Experience an afternoon of profound beauty and reflection as Vesper Chorale and Vesper Chamber Orchestra unite to present Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, a timeless masterpiece that offers solace and hope in the face of loss. Far from a traditional requiem, Brahms' work is a comforting embrace—focusing not on the dead, but on the living who mourn. Complementing this powerful journey is Eleanor Daley’s poignant In Remembrance, a contemporary choral gem that speaks tenderly of memory, love, and the enduring spirit, and Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst, a dazzling and energetic work for string orchestra that captures the brilliance and motion of new beginnings. Together, these works create a moving meditation on grief and grace, guiding listeners through sorrow into light. This performance invites you to pause, remember, and find peace through the transcendent power of music. Let your heart be lifted by melodies that heal, comfort, and endure.
