Dunn-Potter, Former CTO, White House Communications Agency</strong><br />As Chief Technology Officer – Strategy for the White House Communications Agency (WHCA), Jason led strategic IT services, training, and resources for a 1,500-person organization supporting the President, the Vice President, the National Security Council, and the U.S. Secret Service. Certified as a Presidential Communications Officer, he led elite communications teams around the globe — including going wheels up with an advance crew three hours after the President decided to visit California during the Camp Fire.<br /><br />Jason served 26 years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, rising from private to Chief Warrant Officer Five, with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and MIA recovery operations in Laos. He also served as Director of IT Services and Chief Information Security Officer at 7th Infantry Division Headquarters.<br /><br />At Intel, Jason spent nearly five years as Global Architect and Executive Innovation Developer for the U.S. public sector, connecting Intel's business units and labs with industry partners and federal, state, local, and education agencies. His job was to close the gap between what technology can do and what agencies actually deploy — assessing critical needs, building adoption strategies, and telling customers the truth about what a product can and cannot deliver.<br /><br />Today, he is CEO of Squashed Bug Solutions, a cybersecurity and AI consultancy, and an angel investor. He holds a Master's in Information Technology Management from Grantham University and a B.S. in Information Technology from American Military University, and he lives on a small ranch in Boerne, Texas.</p><p style="margin:0px;line-height:1.5;text-align:left"><br /></p><div><div><div><br /></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style="margin:0px;line-height:1.5;text-align:center">______________________________________________________________________________</p><p style="margin:0px;line-height:1.5;text-align:left"><br /></p><div><div><div><div><p style="margin:0px;line-height:1.5;text-align:left"><br /></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><strong>About Rice Alliance Austin</strong><br />The Austin Chapter of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship was formed over two decades ago to provide a forum for entrepreneurs, thought leaders, investors, and doers to connect and discuss the most important and pressing issues facing our community. Through frequent events, mentorships, workshops, and more, we strive to make a meaningful contribution to Austin/Central Texas. While the Rice Alliance originates from Rice University, membership, and attendance are open to all, and we often partner with other leading alumni clubs, including UT, Harvard Business School, Wharton, and Stanford, as well as other entrepreneurship-supporting organizations such as the Austin Technology Incubator and the Capital Factory.</div></div></div><div><p style="text-align:left;margin:0px;line-height:1.5"><br /></p><p style="text-align:left;margin:0px;line-height:1.5">Contact <a href="mailto:info@riceallianceaustin.org" target="_blank">info@riceallianceaustin.org</a> for more info.</p><p style="text-align:left;margin:0px;line-height:1.5"><a href="//RiceAllianceAustin.org" target="_blank">RiceAllianceAustin.org</a></p></div><div><br /></div><p style="margin:0px;line-height:1.5"><br /></p></div></div>
