We&rsquo;re talking malt bags, plastic can carriers, shrink wrap, and PET pallet straps - materials that pile up in brewery back rooms and would otherwise end up in our landfills.<h3 data-end="257" data-start="193" fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;">🍻 What We&rsquo;re Doing: The BrewSCRAPS Transportation Pilot</h3>Our BrewSCRAPS program is a brewery-led, volunteer-run recycling initiative focused on tackling the craft beverage industry&rsquo;s toughest waste streams&mdash;like malt bags, shrink wrap, and PET straps&mdash;that have no curbside recycling solution.Over the past three years, with no paid staff or formal transportation system, our small but passionate volunteer crew has already diverted over 300,000 pounds of plastic from San Diego&rsquo;s landfills. But without consistent pickups,&nbsp;brewery participation has varied, making it difficult to maintain reliable diversion efforts. That&rsquo;s why we&rsquo;re now ready to launch a 6-month transportation pilot&mdash;our next big leap. With your support, we&rsquo;ll be able to establish regular, weekly pickups using efficient routing and centralized processing.
