La misión de Brothers in Law Inc. es diversificar la profesión legal creando un canal tangible para estudiantes subrepresentados que ingresan a la profesión a través de la amistad, el mentorazgo, el desarrollo profesional, el servicio comunitario y las becas. Esta organización servirá como un centro de recursos para todas las personas subrepresentadas que actualmente están en la profesión legal, aquellas que persiguen educación superior y cualquier individuo que busque avanzar el estatus socioeconómico de las comunidades desatendidas. Esta Organización desarrollará hermanos, desde la infancia y más allá, que están comprometidos con ser ingenieros sociales que encarnen y avancen los principios del amor fraternal, anti-sexismo, anti-racismo y anti-misoginia. La membresía no está limitada a personas que se identifiquen como hombres. La membresía se reservará para personas que se identifiquen como hermanos. La terminación de la membresía está reservada a la Junta. Los miembros de la Organización pueden ser expulsados por cualquier mala conducta, sexual o de otro tipo, intimidación, actividad criminal o conducta que deshonre la imagen de la organización.
