From the Stage to a New Story: A One-of-a-Kind Couture Creation

200 performances. 18 cities. 6 countries.

A journey of hard work, passion, sweat, applause, and appreciation.

The BURDA OLMAZ marathon was brought to life by many unforgettable characters — and among them were the costumes that shared the stage with Barbaros Şansal.

One extraordinary piece now has a story of its own.

Worn by Barbaros Şansal on stage in Seattle, this spectacular sequin blazer was gifted and remained in the United States. Today, a new chapter begins as part of a special fundraising auction. Personally designed and tailored by Yıldırım Mayruk, the master of Turkish couture, the blazer was created in 2001 using an exceptional Swiss fabric by Jakob Schlaepfer of St. Gallen. Its metallic printed sequins and 1955 vintage buttons from the archive of Suavi Sonar make it a truly distinctive creation.

Every detail reflects extraordinary craftsmanship, with approximately 200 hours of handwork dedicated to its creation.

From the spotlight of the stage to an auction with a purpose, this blazer carries not only the legacy of its makers, but also the memories of an extraordinary artistic journey.

Now offered at auction in support of a meaningful cause BTF GENC project, this is a rare opportunity to own a unique, stage-worn couture piece with an extraordinary story.

Own a piece of the story. Support a meaningful cause.
