Yet, a profound understanding of history and the conditions shaping our current system is susceptible to poor historical interpretations leading to conclusions that limit our ability to devise effective solutions from the start and therefore the futures that we can create. Influenced by the work of Japanese philosopher Kojin Karatani, the Modes of Exchange framework offers a radical re-interpretation of history from the point of view of modes of exchange, where we can analyze the structure of society, the efforts made in social change over the past century, and the potential for transforming society from an extractive to a more egalitarian model. We are fortunate to have a thinker in our generation who has revolutionized Ayni’s approach for understanding the timeline of history and the prognosis of modern social formations.  The goal of this workshop is to reexamine historical events and understand major attempts made in various decades to challenge, reform, and transcend the system of capital. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 17th, from 6:30PM - 8:30PM Eastern Standard Time and is FREE OF CHARGE. We hope you can join us for this free two hour workshop!
