EARLY BIRD TICKET: This ticket is good for all practices during the 2nd annual RaDiCaL training camp. This is the Early Bird Ticket which also grants you access to the Banked Track Crash Course Training on Sunday 7/7/24 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds (Pavilion 600) from 9am-12:30pm on the banked track. Please note that the banked track session is intended for those at an intermediate or above skating skill who already have their foundational skills such as stopping, falling, maneuvering, etc. down. We simply don't have enough time during the 3.5 hours with all the skaters at that session to teach introductory skills.

Since the Early Bird and Regular tickets are the same price, please do not purchase the Early Bird ticket if you will not be attending the Banked Crash Course as these purchases limit the space for Crash Course ticket purchases. Thank you!

Learn how to skate with Tilted Thunder Roller Derby in this 6-week training program from July 31st to September 7th! This camp is intended for beginner to intermediate level skaters and no experience is necessary. We will train you on stops and falls, agility and maneuvering, and basic blocking and jamming skills. Have no idea what that means? It's okay, we'll teach you everything! This training camp will culminate in a learning scrimmage (positional blocking only) with TTRD skaters to help guide you through, and all campers are allowed to bring 1 guest to the scrimmage. During this program we will train your skills within the context of the RDCL rule set which is the rule set used for banked track roller derby (though this camp will take place on a flat surface).  Training times are Wednesdays 8-10pm at the Brat's Nest (13024 Stone Ave. N, Seattle, WA) and Saturdays 7:30-9am at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate beginning on July 31st and ending on September 7th.  This camp is open to women and non-binary people who are comfortable in an environment that centers women, and who are 18+ years of age. Full derby gear (listed below) is required to participate as is some form of personal insurance coverage. Loaner gear is available on a limited basis and will be reserved first for those with traditionally marginalized identities. Please make sure to fit your mouthguard prior to your first training session as boiling water is not available at the practice space to do that.  For Wednesday practices, we can enter the building 10 minutes prior to our start time, and must exit the building within 10 minutes of the end of our practice. For our Saturday practices, we can enter the building 15 minutes prior to our start time, and must exit within 15 minutes of the end of our practice. On Saturdays, we enter at the side door between the rink and bowling side with our own key. You will be asked to show proof of your insurance coverage at your first session. We will not record any personal information, we will just verify that you have it. Please bring a water bottle to practices! There are no drinking fountains.
