Ever wondered how to prune a fruit tree?   Find answers at our Fruit Tree Pruning Demonstration with the Catskill Forest Association!  **THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT!  Please dress accordingly for the weather. **DECEMBER 16th 10AM - 12PM Exact Location Address provided on ticket. Join Zane Lawyer, Education Arborist for the Catskill Forest Association (CFA), for a demonstration and hands-on instruction of how to structurally prune fruit trees on the backyard scale. Zane will discuss the importance of shaping trees when they are young, approaches to thinning the crown, and training the branches for better fruit production. Zane received a B.S. in Forest Health with a minor in Environmental Writing and Philosophy from SUNY ESF in 2016. In 2018 he became a Certified Arborist and has worked in the arboriculture field ever since. In 2020 he and his wife moved to the Catskills and hope to buy and manage their own woodlot one day.
