Light - Partner Package

The Hope and Healing Gala hosted by Moving Forward Psychological Institute (MFPI) and fiscally sponsored by Viet-C.A.R.E., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, will take place on Thursday, July 18th, 2024 from 6:00-9:30PM at The Terrace at Timeless Venues. The evening themed Spread the Light will include a candlelight ceremony, cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, and live entertainment. Proceeds from the gala will benefit MFPI’s Suicide Prevention & Response Program in providing mental health support services, training, and outreach to underserved communities, with emphasis on Asian Americans. MFPI's Suicide Prevention & Response ProgramRecognizing the rising rate of suicide, especially among Asian Americans, MFPI started its Suicide Prevention & Response Program to increase understanding of mental health and provide accessible, culturally adaptive support services for survivors of suicide at no cost. Who is a suicide survivor?Under our program, any individual grappling with suicidal ideation, priorsuicide attempts, or the loss of a loved one to suicide is considered a survivor and eligible for services. Why does your support matter?Mental health care should be a universal right, yet many underserved communities, particularly Asian Americans, face social, cultural, and financial barriers in accessing support. As a result, unaddressed mental health needs can catalyze workplace challenges, strain family relationships, and ultimately lead to the loss of lives. Our program aims to bridge this gap by offering therapy and support services at no cost to those requiring suicide support. How can you make a difference?Become a sponsor for the gala, purchase tickets for the event, or donate! Proceeds from the gala will go to funding individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, outreach events and community trainings, and organizational support for the Suicide Prevention & Response Program.
