Planning is underway for our 4th Annual Designer Handbag Bingo fundraiser, and we are preparing for an extra-special event this year as we continue to celebrate 25 years of serving the local community. This evening of charitable fun – featuring designer handbag bingo prizes, gift basket raffles and a silent auction – will take place on Saturday, November 4, at the Pelican Yacht Club in Fort Pierce.  Funds raised at this event will support Suncoast Mental Health Center’s mission to provide community-based and family-centered mental health care to underserved children, adults and families. Of the 1,400 clients who receive our services in any given month, hundreds of students benefit from our therapeutic counseling and targeted case management at more than 80 schools in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. I am writing to include you in our fundraising and awareness efforts as a sponsor, donor or guest and to request your consideration of a financial or in-kind donation. Some of our needs and popular items include gift baskets or gift certificates to spas, golf outings and restaurants. These donations, as well as any level of sponsorship, would be greatly appreciated, but we are grateful for any gift you may give.  As an event sponsor, you will join an exclusive group of individuals and businesses that values the importance of mental health advocacy and awareness in our communities. SMHC has several sponsorship opportunities available, and we welcome your partnership in empowering, engaging and inspiring mental wellness. (Please see sponsor packet for more information). In 2022, SMHC served 2,578 unduplicated clients, including 875 intakes/new clients. We provided 15,335 telehealth sessions, 25,200 therapy sessions, 2,933 psychiatry sessions, 372 comprehensive behavioral health assessments and billed 11,458 hours of targeted case management. Our dedicated team of professionals is passionate about helping others and working together to achieve positive mental health outcomes and a holistic approach to treatment.
