Family caregiving can be one of life&rsquo;s most meaningful&mdash;and most challenging&mdash;roles. While many of us will become caregivers at some point, few feel fully prepared when the responsibility arrives. This one-time workshop will offer practical guidance and support from a physician, social worker, registered nurse, and pastor. Fellow caregivers will share their experiences, and participants will receive self-care suggestions, helpful resources, and opportunities to connect with others who understand the caregiving journey. Presenters include Dr. Gary Lee, geriatric, hospice, and palliative care physician; Danette Flippin, geriatric social worker; Donna Bell, registered nurse and parish nurse; and Rev. Erik Swanson, senior pastor at Westhope Presbyterian Church. Coordinated by Janet Lee, registered physical therapist and Feldenkrais practitioner.
