spanDNA Families extends a the warmest welcome to newly identified DNA cousins across the African Diaspora who are ready to take part in a movement made possible through the late Mercy Eugenia Mensah, Mary Folson, Ekua Mensah, Thaddeus Ulzen, Edward S Ulzen & Mercy Ferguson's early commercial DNA tests paired with spanDNA's Wisdom Knot service. 

The spanDNA Families Transatlantic Genealogy Summit (STAGS): Portals of Possibilities is a unique gatheringcentered around the specific ancestral connections identified through these two Ghanaian families and their DNA cousins found through the seed of 25 years of research culminating in the founding and development of the Elmina-Java Museum, spanDNA PBC, and spanDNA Families.

Join us at the LOLA in Atlanta, Georgia from 23 May to 26 May 2025 as we celebrate and explore our ancestral connections. Collaborators will delve deeper into genetic genealogy while engaging in therapeutic spaces, the arts, and healing movement. Meet your cousins, licensed Black Mental Health Professionals, Artists, Social Justice Community Builders, Intercultural Workshop Facilitators, Pilates Teachers, and Professional Genealogists.

Upon registration, those with matching DNA results will receive an invitation to participate in pre-reunion webinar(s). Registered cousins will play a pivotal role in reconnecting severed branches of our family trees--Ghanaian TransAtlantic Cousins and Diaspora TransAtlantic Cousins both provide the means to trace ancestors linking our living and once disconnected relatives from one another. 

Join us as we embark on a journey to discover the depths of our ancestry, explore connections, and draw on spiritual wisdom to navigate our shared history.
